I’m Dr. Keesha Ewers, and I’ve helped thousands of people understand what is the right mix of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins for their individual body type.
TIP: Carbs are not bad; although, every individual body type needs their own unique balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
There are different kinds of carbohydrates; they’re not all created equally. A lot of people are on a low carb diet. What that means is they’re on a diet that’s low in processed short chain carbohydrate foods. Instead, get your carbohydrates from foods like sweet potatoes or butternut squash and fruit. If you’re trying to lose weight, you don’t want to eat a lot of those foods, but if you find that you’re on a low carb diet, you’re getting droopy in your energy, you can’t think straight and you can’t get motivated, you may not have enough carbohydrates in your diet. If you’re eating only meat and only vegetables and don’t feel very good, add a little bit of complex carbohydrate to your diet. See if that doesn’t help.
Again, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, acorn squash, all those starchy vegetables, a few carrots, maybe a couple of beets. See if that helps. If you want more information about how to get the individualized nutritional plan that’s right for you, visit https://www.drkeesha.com/ I’d love to stay connected.
